Making false statements

Section 50
Any person who, for the purpose of procuring anything to be done or not to be done under Part 2, 3 or 4, whether for his own benefit or for the benefit of any other person —
(a)
makes a statement that he knows to be false in a material particular; or
(b)
recklessly makes a statement that is false in a material particular, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
