Any person who attempts to commit qazaf or attempts to cause the commission of qazaf is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $8,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, whipping with 10 strokes or a combination of any two of the punishments.
