Section 12

Until a society is registered under this Act, no person shall, without the written approval of the Registrar, organise or take part in any activity of or on behalf of the society, except only to apply for registration to or to correspond with, the Registrar.

Any person who fails to comply with or contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not

exceeding $5,000, and in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $500 for everyday or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.
