Probate and Administration
of Probate and Administration Act
(1)
Nothing contained in this Act shall be deemed as ousting the jurisdiction of the High Court or of depriving the High Court of any jurisdiction which it possessed im-mediately before the coming into force of this Act.
(2)
The High Court and its predecessors shall have, and shall be deemed to have had ever since the coming into force of Enactment No. 1 of 1908, exclusive jurisdiction in all contentious probate matters, and shall have, and shall be deemed to have had ever since the coming into force of this
Act, concurrent jurisdiction with the Probate Officer in all non-contentious and common form probate business and in all other matters concerned with the administration of the estates of deceased persons in respect of which jurisdiction has been conferred upon the Probate Officer by this Act.
