Section 26

Officer ought to have awarded as compensation is in excess of the sum which the Land Officer did award as compensa-tion the award of the Court may direct that the Land Officer shall pay interest on such excess at tbe rate of 4 per cent, per annum from the date on which he took possession of the land to the date of payment of such excess to the Court or to the person interested.
