Section 7

Any officer of the Bureau, any police officer or any officer of customs may arrest without a warrant any person who has committed or whom he reasonably suspects to have committed an offence against this Act.

Any person so arrested shall, together with any article which is liable to seizure, be taken to the Narcotics Control Bureau or a police station and may be searched.

No woman shall be searched under this Part except by another woman and with strict regard to decency.

An officer making an arrest under this section may seize and detain any article liable to seizure.

Procedure where investigation cannot be completed within 24 hours by officer of the Bureau or police officer.
