Allowances for Consort of His Majesty
of Constitutional Matters II - Succession and Regency Proclamation, 1959
(1)
The Consort of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan shall receive such allowances out of the funds of Brunei Darussalam as His
Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may determine.
(2)
The allowances provided for under subsection (1) shall —
(a)
in the event of the demise of His Majesty the Sultan and
Yang Di-Pertuan or upon the abdication of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, be not less than the sum fixed for her monthly allowance as the Consort of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan, as his Successor may determine; and
(b)
on the divorce or remarriage of the Consort of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, be such compassionate allowance as
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may determine.
