Every such engagement shall be in writing signed by the person engaged, and shall be signed by the Commis-

sioner or such other senior police officer as may be autho-rised in that behalf by Police Regulations. ·

Notwithstanding anything in any other written law contained, any person not below the age of 18 years shall be deemed competent to enter into an engagement under this Act.
