Whenever it appears to the health officer that the holding of any public meeting or any public entertainment is likely to tend to the spread of any infectious disease the local authority may, if requested by the health officer, prohibit such meeting or entertainment in any place and any person who is present at or takes part in any such prohibited meeting or entertainment shall be guilty of an offence against this Act.
