Section 36

It shall be lawful for any health officer to order the destruction of any animal except a milch cow or a buffalo which he has reason to believe is likely to be an agent in the transmission of an infectious disease and to dispose of the carcase of any animal so destroyed in such manner as he may think proper. The local authority may pay the owner of the animal compensation for the destruction.
