Section 96
(1)
If a person, without the consent of the master of the ship or of any other person authorised to give it, goes to sea or attempts to go to sea in a ship, he shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a nne not exceeding $2,000
or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both.
(2)
Nothing in section 177 shall be taken to limit the jurisdiction of any court in Brunei Darussalam to deal with an offence under this section which has been committed in a country or territory outside Brunei Darussalam by a person who is not a citizen of Brunei Darussalam.
