Section 17

From and after the commencement of this Act the words "legally qualified medical practitioner" or "duly qual-ified medical practitioner" or any words importing a person recognised by law as a medical practiti9ner or member of the medical profession, when used in any Act, or other law with reference to such person, shall be construed to mean a person registered as a medical practitioner under this Act.
