This Order may be cited as the International Insurance and Takaful Order, 2002
and shall commence on a date to be appointed by the Authority, with the approval of His
Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, by notice in the Gazette.
(2)
The long title of this Order is “An Order to provide for the licensing and regulation of persons carrying on international insurance business and international insurance-related activities, to provide for the security and protection of long-term international insurance business and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith”.
