Section 56
A Medical Officer shall forthwith, on the death of any detained person, enter in his
Case
Book the time when the illness, if any, was first observed; when it was first reported to him; when it assumed a dangerous character; the nature of the disease or other cause of death; the time of death and an account of the appearance after death, to
gether with any special remarks that appear to him to be necessary;
and the result of post-mortem examination, if any.
