Section 22J
(1)
Where the Director has reason to believe that a licensee has contravened any of the provisions of this Act or of a licence, he may, by serving a notice on such licensee, order him, his servants and agents to cease immediately all operations in the licensed area or any part thereof.
(2)
Any person who fails to comply with such a notice is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $50,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or both; and, if the offence is a continuing one, to a further fine of not exceeding $1,000 for every day or part of a day during which the offence has continued.
Director may cancel notice.
