Prohibition on unauthorised activities relating to electricity

Section 5
(1)
No person shall engage in the -
(a)
generation of electricity;
(b)
transmission of electricity; or
(c)
distribution of electricity, unless he is authorised to do so by an electricity licence granted under section 8 or is exempted under section 7.
(2)
Any person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $500,000 and. in the case of

Electricity a continuing offence, to a further fine not exceeding $1 2,500 for every day or part thereof during which the offence continues after conviction.
