Section 89
The Registrar General may refuse to register a person as a governor of an educational institution if —
(a)
that person has been convicted of an offence and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year or to a fine of not less than $2,000;
(b)
that person has, otherwise than by reason only of an educational institution having ceased to exist, been struck off any register established under this Act or under the provisions of any previous corresponding written law;
(c)
that person has made a false or misleading statement in, or in connection with, his application for registration, or has intentionally suppressed any fact which is material to the application;
or
(d)
that person is under 25 years of age.
