Section 73

A person, organisation or a private educational institution shall only conduct courses of study or training programmes which are conducted either independently or jointly, in association, affiliation or collaboration with another institute within or outside of Brunei Darussalam, with the

Minister’s approval in writing.

A person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $30,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years or both.

The Minister’s approval referred to in subsection (1) may be subject to such conditions as he considers necessary and to payment of the prescribed fee.

A person in breach of any of the conditions imposed under subsection (3) or who defaults in payment of the prescribed fee is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $5,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or both.
