Section 46
(1)
If, at any given time and for any given reason, a higher educational institution does not have a chief executive, the Registrar General may appoint any person to temporarily act as the chief executive of that higher educational institution for a period of not more than 3 months or until such time that the higher educational institution appoints one within that 3
months.
(2)
The failure of a higher educational institution to appoint a chief executive within the 3 months period referred to in subsection (1) will result in the cancellation of its registration.
Prohibition against any political involvement.
