Section 285A

In an appeal as to sentence, the High Court may reduce or increase the sentence, or alter the nature of the sentence:

Provided that when on an appeal by the Public Prosecutor on the ground of the inadequacy of sentence, the High Court increases or alters the nature of the sentence, the respondent may appeal to the Court of Appeal against such increase or alteration as if he were a person convicted before the High

Court appealing against sentence.
