Any person who without lawful authority —

Section 86
(a)
conveys, supplies or causes to be conveyed or supplied to any person being detained in an approved school, an approved home, a remand home or a place of detention; or
(b)
hides or places in any such place for the use of any person being detained therein, any letter, document or any other thing is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both.
