Section 84
(1)
Every person detained under this Act in an approved school or an approved home shall serve the full period of his detention as ordered by the court and shall be deemed to be in lawful custody until he is lawfully discharged therefrom.
(2)
If any person who is detained under this Act in an approved school or an approved home escapes from there before the expiry of his period of detention —
(a)
he may be apprehended without warrant by a police officer or a Community Development officer and brought back by him to the approved school or approved home; and
(b)
the period of his detention in the approved school or approved home shall be extended by the period for which he was at large.
(3)
Notwithstanding anything stated in this section, no person shall be detained in any approved school or approved home after he attains the age of 19 years and 6 months.
