Every Deputy Registrar shall inform himself carefully of every birth and death occurring in his registration area and shall cause the prescribed information to be furnished and recorded without delay in the proper registration book furnished to him for that purpose. In cases of death, the

Deputy Registrar shall, if practicable, personally inspect the corpse and make inquiries among the persons present at the death.
