SUPREME COURT ACT (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 2020

Citation
This Order may be cited as the Supreme Court Act (Amendment) Order,
Amendment of section 8 of Chapter 5
Section 8 of the Supreme Court Act, in this Order referred to as the Act, is amended -
by repealing subsection (2) and by substituting the following new subsection therefor -
"(2) His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may remove a Judge from office on the ground of his inability to properly perform the function of his office or of his misbehaviour.";
by repealing subsection (4).
Made this 28th. day of Jamadilakhir, 1441 Hijriah corresponding to the 22nd. day of February, 2020 at Our Istana Nurul Iman, Bandar Seri Begawan,
Brunei Darussalam.
