Opening note
Citation
This Act may be cited as the Description of Land (Survey Plans) Act.
Certified plans to be sufficient compliance with law requiring notices of boundaries etc.
Where the provisions of any written law require that for the purposes of any written law a notice shall be published in the Gazette or otherwise —
specifying the boundaries of any land or area, or particulars necessary to identify any land or area; or
defining or designating the boundaries or limits of any land or area, it shall be sufficient if such land or area is described by reference in such notice to a plan of such land or area certified, identified and deposited in the office of the Surveyor General in accordance with the provisions of section 3.
Provisions regarding certified plans
A plan is deemed to be certified and identified for the purpose of section 2 if —
it is certified and dated by the Surveyor General to be a true and correct plan of such land or area and by the authority by whom such notice is given to be the land or area to which such notice refers; and
Every such certified and identified plan shall be deposited in the office of the Surveyor General.

Distribution of photographic copies of certified plans
The authority, by whom any notice, which refers to a certified plan in accordance with the provisions of section 2, is given, may direct that so many photographically produced copies of such plan as he may require shall be made and distributed to the land office of the district in which the land or area to which such plan refers is situated, and to such public officer or officers as he shall specify.
Inspection
Any person may inspect any certified plan or any photographically produced copy thereof made in accordance with the provisions of this Act on any working day during normal office hours at the office of any officer who has custody of such plan or such copy thereof.
Further photographic copies
Any person, who so requests and on payment of the appropriate fee specified in the Schedule, shall be entitled to have made and delivered to him a photographically produced copy of any certified plan made for the purposes of this Act.
Making and certification of photographic copies
Every photographically produced copy of any certified plan made in pursuance of a direction given under section 4 shall be made by the Surveyor
General authorised in writing by the Surveyor General to do so, and shall be certified by the Surveyor General or by the person making such copy to be a true and accurate copy of the original certified plan.
Admissibility in evidence
Every certified plan made for the purposes of this Act and any photographically produced copy of any such plan made in pursuance of a direction given under section 4 and in accordance with the provisions of section 7 shall be admissible in evidence without further proof in all courts of
Brunei Darussalam.

Photostatic copies of a certified $10 for each negative or positive copy plan 2.
Reflex or Apollo print copies $10 for each positive copy of a certified plan
