Section 30
(1)
The authority may if he thinks fit suspend a licence, on any of the grounds set out in section 31(1) –
(a)
pending compliance with any directions given to the licensee by the
Authority under subsection (2) and the receipt of such evidence as the Authority may require thereunder that the directions have been complied with; or
(b)
pending completion of any investigation carried out pursuant to the powers conferred by section 28.

(2)
Where the Authority suspends a licence –
(a)
he shall give notice in writing of his decision;
(b)
the Authority, by notice in writing, may give such direction in respect of the matter giving rise to the suspension, as he thinks fit, to be complied with within such period and on provision of such evidence as to such compliance as the Authority specifies in the notice.
