Composition of offences
(1)
The Authority may, in its discretion, compound any offence against this Act which is prescribed as a compoundable offence by collecting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed the offence a sum not exceeding -
(a)
one half of the amount of the maximum fine that is prescribed for the offence; or
(b)
$2,000, whichever is the lower.
(2)
On payment of such sum of money, no further proceedings shall be taken against that person in respect of the offence.
(3)
The Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and
Yang Di-Pertuan, make regulations to prescribe the offences which may be compounded.

Cost of enforcement 40.
Where a person has been convicted by a court for an offence under section 6 or 7, the court may order that person to pay reasonable costs of any enforcement action taken by an authorised officer in respect of the offence, including any cost of storage of the subject-matter of the offence or anything used in the commission of the offence.
Exemption 41.
The Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and
Yang Di-Pertuan, either permanently or for such period as the Minister thinks fit. by order published in the Gazette, exempt any person, premises, material or thing, or any class thereof, from all or any of the provisions of this Act, subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
