Section 19

Any health officer may apprehend and take or cause to be apprehended and taken to a place selected by him any person whom he shall find in any public building, street, place or conveyance or in a shop suffering from or suspected by him to be suffering from an infectious disease. Such person may be detained in such a place until he is no longer in an infectious state.
