(2)
Any person who, having been authorised to be detained under any of the provisions of this Act or of the regulations made thereunder, escapes or attempts to escape from the hospital reception place, isolated house or quarantine station in which he has been detained, shall be guilty of an offence:
Penalty, a fine of $500.
Penalty for not submitting to examination.
(3)
Any person who, being subjected to medical surveillance under the provisions of this Act or of the regulations made thereunder fails to present himself for examination, may be arrested without warrant, isolated to the satisfaction of the health officer, and shall be guilty of an offence: Penalty, a fine of $500.
(4)
In addition to the punishment prescribed by subsection (3) any sum deposited shall be forfeited.
