Section 27
A grant of probate shall not be issued unless -
(a)
the original will or, if the will has already been proved in a foreign country, a true copy thereof, certified by the foreign authority, has been deposited with the Probate Officer;
(b)
the Probate Officer is satisfied either-
(i)
that the will was signed at its foot or end by the testator, or by some other person for him in his presence and at his direction, that the testator's signature was made or acknow-ledged in the presence of at least 2 witnesses, both being present at the same time, and that 19

Persons entitled to probate and letters of administra-tion
Probate and Administration such 2 witnesses afterwards attested and sub-scribed the will in the testator's presence, or
(ii)
that the will was signed by the testator or by some other person for him in his presence and at his direction, in the presence of a magis-trate, who subscribed his signature thereto as a witness thereof; and
(c)
where the deceased was a Muslim domiciled in Brunei that the Probate Officer is satisfied that the provisions thereof do not conflict with Muslim law as practised in Brunei.
