Section 61
Every Judge may, whenever he thinks fit, enter into and examine the condition of any prison, and the prisoners therein, and he may question any prisoner, and he may enter any observation he thinks fit to make in reference to the condition of the prison in a Visitor’s Book to be kept for that purpose by the Officer-in-Charge, which book shall be produced to the Visiting
Justices at their next visit.
