Appointment of Director and Officers
of Prevention of Corruption Act
(1)
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may appoint a
Director who, subject to the orders and control of His Majesty the Sultan and
Yang Di-Pertuan, shall be responsible for the direction and administration of the Bureau.
(2)
The Director shall not be subject to the direction or control of any person other than His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan.
(3)
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may appoint a
Deputy Director of the Bureau, an Assistant Director, a Chief Special
Prevention of Corruption 10
Investigator, Senior Special Investigators and such other officers of the
Anti-Corruption Bureau as His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may deem fit.
(4)
If the office of the Director is vacant or the Director is absent from duty, the Deputy Director shall, except where His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan otherwise directs, act as Director.
(5)
If both the Director and the Deputy Director are absent from duty, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan may appoint another person to act as Director during that absence.
