Notwithstanding anything contained in the Criminal Procedure Code

Section 22
(Chapter 7), the Court of a Magistrate shall have jurisdiction to try any offence against the provisions of this Act or any rule made thereunder and may pass any sentence provided by this Act for any such offence.
