Regulations on evidence of seaworthiness etc.
of Merchant Shipping Order, 2002
(1)
The Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang
Di-Pertuan, make such regulations as the Minister considers necessary or expedient to implement the provisions of this Part.

Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), the Minister may, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, make regulations -

{a) specifying the documents which may be accepted as evidence of seaworthiness of a ship for the purposes of section 10;
(b)
providing for the submission of such documents to the Registrar at any time after the registry of a ship;
{c) providing for the registration of ships which are bareboat chartered by persons qualified to own Brunei Darussalam ships;
{d) providing for the suspension of the registry of a Brunei Darussalam ship which is bareboat chartered out and registered in another state;
{e)
specifying the provisions of this Order which shall be applied, with such modifications as may be specified, to a ship which is bareboat chartered by persons qualified to own Brunei Darussalam ships; and
{f) specifying the provisions of this Order which shall continue to apply, with such modifications as may be specified, notwithstanding the suspension of the registry of a Brunei Darussalam ship and its registration in another country or territory.
