Section 49

This Act shall not apply to any action or arbitration for which a period of limitation is prescribed by or under any other written law (whether passed before or after the date of coming into force of this Act) or to any action or arbitration to which the Government is a party and for which, if it were between subjects, a period of limitation would be prescribed by or under any such other written law.
