Section 30

It shall be lawful for His Majesty in Council by public notification to declare any area to be a township. Such area shall forthwith be demarcated or surveyed. If any proprietor of land within such township is desirous of using his land for the erection of houses for trading purposes, he shall surren-der his extract to the officer in charge of the Land Office for cancellation and the Land Officer shall make a fresh entry in the Register and issue a fresh extract subject to such rent as may be prescribed by His Majesty in Council in respect of every 2,400 square feet or less so utilised.
