Section 119

Where any person acknowledges another as his mother or father, the acknowledgement shall, if acquiesced or confirmed by the person being acknowledged, whether during the lifetime or after the death of the person making the acknowledgement, constitute a valid family tie in so far only as the relationship between the parents and the child, provided that having regard to the ages of the person making the acknowledgement and the person being acknowledged, it is reasonable that the person acknowledged is the parent of the person making the acknowledgement.
