Section 16
Appointment of Chief Executive Officer
of Institute of Brunei Technical Education Act
(1)
The Minister shall, with the approval of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan, appoint a Chief Executive Officer on such terms and conditions as the Minister may determine.
(2)
The Chief Executive Officer shall —
(a)
be responsible to the Board for the proper administration and management of the Institute in accordance with the policy laid down by the Board;
(b)
be known by such designation as the Board thinks fit; and
(c)
not to be removed from office without the consent of the
Minister.
(3)
If the Chief Executive Officer is temporarily absent from
Brunei Darussalam or temporarily incapacitated by reason of illness or for other reasons temporarily unable to perform his duties, any person may be appointed by the Board to act in the place of the Chief Executive Officer during any period of such absence from duty.
