Section 29
(1)
Whoever, being a forest officer or police officer, vexatiously and unnecessarily seizes any property on pretence of seizing property liable to confiscation under this Act is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of $5,000 and imprisonment for one year.
(2)
Any fine imposed under the provisions of this section or any portion thereof shall, if the convicting court so directs, be given as compensation to the person aggrieved by such seizure.
Penalty for counterfeiting or defacing or possessing implements for counterfeiting marks on trees and timber and altering boundary marks.
