Section 39

Any person who does or attempts to do or causes or permits to be done or abets an act contrary to, or fails to comply with, the provisions of this Act or is in breach of the conditions subject to which any licence has been issued is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both.

Where an offence is continued after conviction, there shall be payable by the offender for every day that the offence continues a fine not exceeding $50, and where the offence continues for a period exceeding 10 days after conviction the offender is also liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
