Section 43
Salary shall not be payable to or recoverable by an employee from his employer in respect of —
(a)
the term of any sentence of imprisonment undergone by him;
(b)
any period spent by him in lawful custody;
(c)
any period spent by him in going to or returning from prison or any other place of lawful custody;

any period spent by him in going to, attending before or returning from, a court, otherwise than as a witness on his employer’s behalf.
