Meaning of “event”
(1)
An “event” means any of the following —
(a)
a typhoon, earthquake, flood, storm, storm tide, tornado, tsunami, volcanic eruption or other natural happening;
(b)
an explosion or fire, a chemical, fuel or oil spill, or a gas leak;
(c)
an infestation, plague, pandemic or epidemic, such as a prevalence of avian flu;

(d)
a failure of, or disruption to, an essential service, premises or the infrastructure;
(e)
an attack against Brunei Darussalam or any other act that is prejudicial to or incompatible with the peace, public order, security or public interest of Brunei Darussalam;
(f)
any other event similar to an event mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (e).
(2)
An “event” may be a natural event or caused by human acts or omissions.
