Section 24
(1)
A child or young person taken into custody under section 17(1)
who subsequently undergoes a medical examination or treatment shall, upon the completion of such examination or treatment or, if he is hospitalised, upon his discharge from the hospital, be placed in a place of safety until such time as he can be brought before a Juvenile Court.
(2)
A child or young person taken into custody under section 18(4)
who subsequently undergoes a medical examination or treatment shall, upon the completion of such examination or treatment or, if he is hospitalised, upon his discharge from the hospital, be returned to the person from whose care he was taken.
