Section 4
(1)
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan* may, from time to time, by public notification, appoint a Superintendent of Census and such
Deputy Superintendents of Census and Assistant Superintendents of Census, in and for Brunei Darussalam or any part thereof, as he may deem necessary for the purposes of this Act.
(2)
The Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent may by writing under his hand appoint any person as a supervisor, house numberer or enumerator to supervise or take or aid in the taking of a census within any specified area.
Census officers to be public servants and to carry proof of appointment.
