Appeals
of Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council Act
(1)
Subject to subsection (2), any higher education provider who is aggrieved by —
(a)
the refusal of the Council to grant a letter of accreditation under Part 4; or
(b)
the revocation of letter of accreditation under Part 4, may appeal in writing to the Minister within 30 days from the date on which the refusal or revocation was served on the higher education provider.
(2)
Any higher education provider who is aggrieved by —
(a)
the refusal of the relevant professional body to grant an accreditation in respect of a professional programme or professional qualification under Chapter 2 of Part 4; or
(b)
the revocation of letter of accreditation in respect of a professional programme or professional qualification under Chapter 2
of Part 4, may appeal in writing to an Appellate Committee within 30 days from the date the refusal or revocation is served on the higher education provider.
(3)
In this Part, “Appellate Committee” means a body of persons consisting of such number of representatives appointed by the relevant professional body and an officer of the Council.
