Composition of Council
of Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council Act
(1)
The Council shall comprise the following members who shall be appointed by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan —
(a)
the Minister of Education, who shall be the Chairman;
(b)
the Deputy Minister of Education, who shall be the Deputy
Chairman;
(c)
the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education responsible for higher education;
(d)
a Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs;
(e)
a Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Development;
(f)
a Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism;
(g)
a Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health;
(h)
the Chairman of the Public Service Commission;
(i)
the Director-General of Public Service Department;
(j)
the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam;
(k)
the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Brunei;
(l)
the Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali;
(m)
the Ra’es of Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri
Begawan; and
(n)
a Special Duties Officer of the Ministry of Education appointed by the Minister to be assigned to the Secretariat.
(2)
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education shall be the secretary to the Council.
(3)
Subject to this Act, the Council shall have the power to regulate its own proceedings.
