Section 7

Except as provided in any order made under section 6(1), no person shall import or tranship any animal or veterinary biologics, except in accordance with a licence issued in that behalf by the Director and in accordance with the conditions (if any) of that licence as he may determine.

Animal (Diseases and Quarantine)

A licence to import or tranship any animal or veterinary biologics under this Act may be obtained on an application made in such form as the

Director may determine and upon the payment of such fees as may be prescribed.

Any person importing or transhipping any animal or veterinary biologics in contravention of subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both.
