Section 8
(1)
No persons, other than the holder of an appropri-ate licence issued under this Act shall sell or offer for sale or have in his possession any protected animal or any trophy or flesh thereof; unless the same has been lawfully acquired:
Penalty, imprisonment for 6 months and a fine of $1,000.
(2)
In any prosecution under this section, the onus of proving lawful acquisition shall be upon the person in pos-session of the protected animal or trophy or flesh thereof.
(3)
The Director of Museums shall be exempted from the provisions of this section and of section 9 in respect of acts done by him in good faith for a scientific purpose.
