Permit to export species

Section 18
The Director may, after consultation with the appropriate management authority and scientific authority, grant a permit to export any specimen of
Wild Fauna and Flora 18
any species listed in Appendix III to the applicant, if those authorities are satisfied that —
(a)
that specimen was not obtained in contravention of any written law; and
(b)
it is to be prepared and shipped so that the risk of —
(i)
injury to the specimen;
(ii)
adverse effect on the health of the specimen; and
(iii)
in the case of an animal, cruel treatment of the specimen, is minimised.
