\1)
Where the Director or an authorised officer knows or has reason to believe that any animal intended for slaughter at a licensed slaughtering centre is diseased or is, for any other reason, unfit for human consumption, the Director or authorised officer may by order in writing -
{a)
prohibit the owner or occupier of the licensed slaughtering centre from slaughtering that animal; and
{b)
require the owner or occupier of the licensed slaughtering centre to destroy or treat such animal in such manner as the Director or the authorised officer thinks fit, and the costs thereof and incidental thereto shall be borne by such owner or occupier.
(2)
Any person who fails to comply with an order under subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000, imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or both.
